Deb’s Banango Dessert

  • The delicate flavours in Deb’s Banango Dessert combine with a creamy smooth texture that is guilt-free.

Ingredients

  • 1 Altauflo mango – remove pit
  • 5 ripe frozen bananas
  • 3 fresh soft dates – remove pit
  • 1 cup raw Almond milk [or use ready made almond milk]

Note: Frozen banana melts fast so this needs to be served immediately once made.

Method

  1. Peel the mango, remove the pit.
  2. Slice flesh down either side to divide the mango into two portions.
  3. Place half the mango in the blender and the divide the other half between two dessert bowls.
  4. Remove the pit from each fresh date.
  5. Add the frozen banana and dates to the blender.
  6. Add the raw almond milk to the blender, and blend till a smooth pouring consistency.
  7. Pour blender contents over the fresh mango.
  8. Garnish with two halves of a fresh strawberry with the wide ends facing inward and forming a diamond shape outwards. Place a sprig or parsley or mint in between the strawberry garnish and serve immediately!
